Deception - Exhibition Design
From the four choices of subjects that we could have chosen for the exhibition project my team mate Gillian and I chose Fabrication due to our great interest in white lies and covering up the truth to protect.
Fabrication allows the World to hide the truth and create a facade to onlookers. If it wasn't for this our daily lives would not run as they do, lying about "if their bum looks big in this" preserves a persons feelings. Right from a young age we are taught that lies are part of our culture through stories such as Alice in Wonderland where nothing is as it seems...

The above three images show my research into children's fantasy stories where the characters get lost in a fictional adventure where everything is not as it first seems.
The spider web symbolises something that is so delicate and beautiful but can easily catch and not let you go just like a white lie.
An experiment into how the spider web concept could be used within our space at the DCA.
Some other idea concepts showing how the space could be divided up for the exhibition.
